3 Days of Glory, 18 Months of production...
As promised here previously - I'm excited to announce that the teaser-trailer for our upcoming documentary feature film - 3 Days of Glory - is live! Check it out:
My producing partner David Baker and I will be heading back over for harvest at the start of October for the next round of filming, and than back again in late November to film, for the first time ever, the true inside look at the greatest wine celebration on the planet. We'll then spend most of 2017 in post-production, and plan to have it ready for release by the end of the year.
Stay tuned for all the updates, and our forthcoming IndieGoGo campaign - we'd love to have you participate in the project!
While harvest has begun incredibly early here in Oregon - (some of my friends started picking last week!) - it's going to be a late one in both Burgundy and Champagne. Both regions had a late start, both had cold and wet springs, and summers that didn't really get going until mid-August. Burgundy was complicated by the killer frost of April 27th, and in all it's going to be historically late - many of our producers are now thinking they'll start in the last week of September at the earliest. Many may not begin until October. I'll keep you updated with the latest on all fronts, both from my command post here in Portland and then once on the ground in Burgundy.
I hope you've enjoyed an excellent summer! I'm pumped up to be back in full-on action, and can't wait for all of the new releases, fall arrivals, events, tastings, dinners and offers to come this fall. Let's do it!
