A master class in Grower Champagne
Our second Insider's Tour of Champagne has rocked all week - same program as last week, same great meals and wines, and a great new group of customers who are getting a deep immersion into Champagne. It's all about experiencing it first hand, live and in the flesh, when a greater understanding starts to come together.
A few pics from the last few days...
Tomorrow I've got a meeting with a potential new producer here in Champagne that I'm very excited about - they produce only 1,000 bottles per year, so I'm guessing we'll be lucky to get 8-10 cases for the US. More on that as it happens.
Then I'm off to Burgundy for the next two weeks, so stay tuned for all the action directly from the front lines.
