We've just announced our 10th annual Paulée dinner - happening Friday Nov. 6th, 6:30p at Imperial in Portland. I was invited to my first Paulée in Burgundy by Véronique Drouhin when I was managing Domaine Drouhin Oregon, and I've been a Paulée junkie ever since. The legendary Paulée de Meursault, the super-secret private Paulée in Beaune, Daniel Johnnes' Paulées in NY & SF - they're all wonderful. I'll be leaving for a few weeks in Burgundy and Champagne right after our Paulée, and will be heading for some Paulée action over there, of course. To me, it's better than Christmas!

The other huge news is that our first Champagne has arrived! The Caveau-Extra Brut (a cuvée we made in collaboration with Sophie Cossy in Jouy-lès-Reims) is the realization of a life-long dream for me, and I could not be more excited. We sold most of this wine on pre-arrival last spring, but we do have a little more available if you need a killer micro-production (200 cases) bubbler for your upcoming celebrations. Cheers!
