Home for the holidays...

It's great to be back in Portland, with no travel plans for the holidays this year. It will be nice to just stay put and enjoy some great family & friends time (and a nice bottle or three, or course!) I spent over two months in Burgundy & Champagne this year, and it is time to stay off of planes for a while if I can arrange it! We're just back from a nice Thanksgiving weekend in Miami, visiting daughter Ally and hubby, and enjoying the warm sun before snuggling in for the damp, cold Oregon months ahead...

There are a couple of excellent new videos from Burgundy you should see. The Burgundy Wine Board has produced a really nice report on vintage 2016, kicked off by our very own Frédéric Gueguen with all the scoop from Chablis. It's in French, but sub-titled in English so you should be able to easily follow along...

The Burg folks have also produced a short clip - "Burgundy - seen from the sky". With breathtaking helicopter and drone shots it takes you through all of the Burgundian wine regions and really gives you a good look at this magnificent slice of the planet.

I'm looking forward to seeing you here on Sunday for our annual Holiday Champagne Celebration! We'll be pouring a killer lineup of 6 top Grower Champagnes, and all of our remaining inventory of bubbly (and Burgundy!) is here and ready to go home with you for the holidays.

These will be open for tasting on Sunday. Cheers!
